A Raging River Record Opens at Silver Dollar City

2020 marks over six decades of summer fun at Silver Dollar City in Branson, Missouri where the 1880s-style theme park celebrates a 60th Anniversary Diamond Jubilee.

The centerpiece of the celebration is the all-new Mystic River Falls, a nearly half-mile journey through splashing waves, hairpin turns and even a hidden mine shaft. The culmination of the river ride is its record- breaking drop—a grand nale, 4.5 story drop! The sheer height of the final drop titles Mystic River Falls as the tallest drop on a raft ride in the western hemisphere. This family-friendly trek is nestled in between Ozark- born rockwork and landscape, providing a ride that’s as beautiful as it is thrilling. Inspired by the real past and ongoing search for the headwaters of the Mystic River in Silver Dollar City’s Marvel Cave, Pearl Brazen, a fearless adventuress, based on the spirit and enthusiasm of many women in the 1880s Ozarks, invites guests to adventure on their very own water adventure in search of the unknown. In her own words, “The Greatest Adventures Lie Ahead!”

On the banks of Mystic River Falls, guests are greeted in Rivertown by the warm, smoky smell of barbeque at the new Rivertown Smokehouse. Rivertown Smokehouse smokes brisket, chicken, ribs and sausages for both classic and new menu items, meant to please both barbeque newbies as well as seasoned veterans. Centered just across the Rivertown Smokehouse is Clara Belle’s Cinnamon Bread, the all-new location for Silver Dollar City’s famous Cinnamon Bread and new specialty coffees.
