Coast Down a Mountain

Capturing the title of Branson’s first and largest mountain coaster, Runaway Mountain Coaster makes for an exciting way to enjoy the summer beauty … that is, if you can keep your eyes open! This family-friendly thrill ride at Branson Mountain Adventure Park features more than 5,000 feet of track and can reach speeds of up to 30 mph. Riders who prefer a more moderate pace can use a personal braking system, making it a bit easier to take in Branson’s fall foliage displays as they descend the mountain.

37 North Expeditions Outdoor Excursions

Just in time for summer, 37 North Expeditions is launching fulltime in the Branson market. The outdoor adventure company offers regular excursions around the Ozarks with an array of activities from horseback riding, kayaking, paddle boarding and more. Their motto is “Get Sweaty – Get Connected – and Get Happy.” Tours are scheduled Monday through Friday through Labor Day, and meet on the Branson Landing. Trips depart at 8 a.m. or 8: 30 a.m. and then return at 2 p.m. The concept is simple: customers meet at Landshark and are then shuttled to an outdoor destination. 37 North often pairs nature with a food or drink element, such as stopping at a farm or winery, which helps promote local businesses. Tours are intimate and limited to 12 people. Prices vary based on the excursion but range from $39-$62.
